Description

The Professional Science Master’s Program in Applied Science and Business, with a major in Applied and Industrial Physics is specifically and strategically designed to prepare students for scientific careers in industry, or to take their exceptional applied physics expertise and apply it to professional positions in marketing, public affairs, business development, product development, entrepreneurship, intellectual property management, and other fields in science-based enterprises. Students take applied physics courses, electives in any sub-field specialty, business and entrepreneurship courses, and complete an internship in industry. The connection between science and business in industry is emphasized in this professional, terminal degree through extensive professional development experiences, opportunities to attend industry-related conferences and networking events, and access to extraordinary leaders in science and business. Students can also pursue an optional certificate in entrepreneurship through the UA McGuire Entrepreneurship Program, which adds no extra time to the PSM degree.
